Michael Rossell
BXB Editor and LAN Manager

Michael joined his local newspaper 'The Coalville Times' at 18 as a Trainee News Reporter after completing A-levels in English Literature, English Language and Drama. After a few months with the paper Michael instigated the relaunch of the paper's Entertainment section "Weekending" and worked with local companies to provide a weekly music review column. Michael also wrote reviews of albums, videos, DVDs, books, film, local theatre, live events, games as well as a selection of features on hobbies, TV shows and historic sites around North West Leicestershire. Michael also did freelance work for clubbing website www.gurn.net as an album reviewer.

Michael was promoted to Reporter in 2001 and also worked on news reporting until 2002 when he gave up the role of Entertainment Reporter and was promoted to Lead Reporter during which he landed a series of exclusives for the paper.

He then moved onto North West Leicestershire District Council working as an Assistant PR Officer. During his time with NWLDC he successfully worked in partnership with the local press to present a series of interviews aimed at personalising the Council; he contributed to the forming of the Council's Media and Communications Strategy and relaunched, researched, wrote, designed and edited the Council's monthly internal newsletter.

Michael has since left North West Leicestershire District Council and began to pursue a career in retail with Tesco, allowing him to work on BXB at the same time. Michael's experience on both sides of the media fence as well as a wealth of writing experience and management skills have been pivotal in helping him in his role.

As well as this, Michael has been into gaming since 8-bit consoles and has enjoyed playing on a wide range of platforms and titles, with a keen interest in the gaming industry. He also bought an Xbox on launch day and took part in the UK Xbox Live Test Drive.

Bill Bennett
BXB News Editor

Bill has been working in the retail side of the games industry for almost 9 years, working with both console and PC software and hardware. He also is a field engineer with a medium sized PC manufacturer as well as experience working in a busy games store.

He joined the Britxbox community in 2003, and after posting many Xbox, and more recently Xbox 360 related news items to our forum, was asked to join the team as a News Writer in August of 2005.

Since then Bill has shown to be a highly competant writer and has helped BXB secure further support from a number of publishers. When the previous News Editor left his role, Bill was the first choice to take the relatively new post of BXB's News Editor.

Andy Gardiner

Andy was given the role of Reviews Editor in July 2005 after showing an incredible dedication to BXB and continues to contribute regularly and positively to BXB. Andy visited Gamestars live in London Docklands last year and provided coverage to Britxbox. He has done Beta testing for Xbox Live and Earth and Beyond (on PC)
